The Haryana State Government conducts HTET (Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test) for recruiting suitable candidates as teachers in government schools in the state. This book has been designed for the aspirants preparing for HTET Paper I which is conducted for selectingSocialStudies teachers for Class VI-VIII.
The present book for HTET Paper I has been divided into four parts namely Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I (English), Language II (Hindi) and Social Studies, each sub-divided into number of chapters as per the syllabi and the examination pattern of HTET Paper II (Social Studies). The first part covers Child Development, Concept of Inclusive Education & Understanding Children with Special Needs and Learning & Pedagogy, whereas the fourth part covers History, Geography and Civics along with pedagogical issues. Language I (English) covers comprehension, common errors, idioms & phrases, sentence completion, antonyms & synonyms, one word substitution, subject-verb agreement, spelling rules and language pedagogy whereas the Language II (Hindi) section covers basics of Hindi Language along with Hindi Grammar too. Each chapter in the book contains ample number of solved problems which have been designed on the lines of questions asked in recent years’ HTET. To help aspirants practice the concepts covered under the syllabi of the entrance test, unsolved practice exercises have been provided at the end of each chapter. Solved Papers 2014& 2015 have also been provided in the book to help aspirants get an insight into the recent examination pattern and the types of questions asked therein.
